[ad_1] Paramount sets release date for Elton John biopic, Rocketman Your regularly scheduled game of Release Date Shuffle continues, after WB moved some films around and Fox 2000 set a date for The Hate U Give , and now it’s Paramount’s turn. The studio has announced that they’ve set, shifted, and outright removed some films from their upcoming release schedule. Up first is their in-development biopic of Elton John. Titled Rocketman and set to star Taron Egerton, who co-starred with the musician in Kingsman: The Golden Circle , the film will be released on May 17, 2019. Rocketman will open against  John Wick: Chapter 3 ,  A Dog’s Journey , and  The Sun is Also a Star on that date. Dexter Fletcher will be directing the film from a script by Lee Hall.
